Course Description
The HealthyLifetime® Independent Living Coach Training Program (HLTP) prepares learners to become independent living coaches utilizing the HealthyLifetime® evidence-based approach.
This course provides the HLTP content for both new and experienced coaches, supporting both training and ongoing professional development. New coaches are expected to complete the full program. Experienced coaches might find some topics to be a refresher, so they can focus on the sections most relevant to their needs. Throughout the course, coaches will learn more about our client assessment, coach evaluation tools, coaching strategies, and have ample ooportunities to practice through coaching activities. New coaches will submit three practice coaching sessions for a Motivational Interviewing Competency Assessment (MICA) and Advanced Health Coaching Competency Assessment (AHCCA) and will be provided feedback and mentoring during the course. Coaches need to be client centered or better in both MICA and AHCCA to receive their client-centered level certification.
