Introduction to Motivational Interviewing
Content:
The content for this course is based on Miller & Rollnick’s Motivational Interviewing: Helping People Change, 3rd Edition.
Platform:
This online course was developed using the Articulate Storyline 360 platform, which creates a dynamic, interactive experience for the learner. Participants will not only learn concepts and strategies in an engaging way, they will be able to apply and practice their skills.
Healthcare Applications:
The course uses multiple and diverse examples from a wide range of healthcare topics, settings and populations. In addition, we have several course variations and each learner will be assigned a course tailored most closely to their practice setting and role.
Timeline:
The course takes an average of 12-14 hours to complete, including practice activities. Although, the learner may begin anytime and work through the course at their own pace, many users have found it helpful to pace themselves with one module per week to give them time to absorb the material and practice strategies.
CE Credits
Health Coaches:
This course is eligible for 14 continuing coach education hours (CCEHs) towards the Wellcoaches core and professional coach certifications
This course is eligible for 14 hours of credit towards the educational credits needed for the International Association of Health Coaches certification process
Nurses
This course is eligible for 14 CNE credits.
